Špindlerův Mlýn – Sněžka
You can set out from Špindlerův Mlýn up our highest mountain (1603 m) using several routes:
1) Špindlerova Bouda – Sněžka
Route length: 10 km
From Špindlerův Mlýn by bus to Špindlerova bouda – along the red hiking route (The Route of Czech and Polish Friendship) via Slezská bouda up to Sněžka.
2) Špindlerův Mlýn – Dlouhý důl – Sněžka
Route length: 13 km
From the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn along the green hiking route – through the Svatý Petr valley to Hotel Esprit – through Dlouhý důl to Výrovka – then along the red hiking route to Luční bouda – the red hiking route up to Sněžka then follows.
3) Špindlerův Mlýn – Kozí Hřbety – Sněžka
Route length: 10,5 km
From the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn – follow the red hiking markers around Hotel Belmonte upwards – to the small church – then around the school, along Stará Bucharova cesta past Hotel Horal and Panorama – across Kozí hřbety up to Luční bouda – then continue by following the red hiking markers – via Slezská bouda up to Sněžka.
4) Špindlerův Mlýn – údolí Bílého Labe – Sněžka
Route length: 13.5 km
From the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn – along the blue hiking route against the flow of the Elbe – past the chairlift up Medvědín to the KRNAP log cabin – then to the right to Dívčí lávky and along Weberova cesta all the way to U Bílého Labe hut – then across the valley of the Bílé Labe along the blue route to Luční bouda – then via Slezská bouda up to Sněžka.
5) Špindlerův Mlýn – Klínovy boudy – Sněžka
Route length: 13.5 km
From Špindlerův Mlýn to Svatý Petr – by chairlift up Pláně – then along the green hiking route to Bouda Na Pláni – via Klínové boudy to Chalupa Na Rozcestí – via Výrovka to Luční bouda – a blue hiking mark then follows – via Slezská bouda up to Sněžka.
Špindlerův Mlýn – Source of the Elbe (1 382 m a. s. l.)
Perhaps everyone who visits the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains) should have a look at where this great European river springs. You can choose from several routes:
Route 1)
From the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn follow the blue hiking route to the chairlift up Medvědín – take the chairlift up Medvědín – further follow the yellow hiking route to the Šmídova viewpoint – then follow the red hiking route to Vrbatova bouda and Zlaté návrší – past the Memorial to Hanč and Vrbata to the Pančava waterfall (148 m) – to Labská bouda – then follow the green hiking route all the way to the source of the Elbe.
Route 2)
The starting point is from Horní Mísečky, where there are two options: from Špindlerův Mlýn by car to Horní Mísečky (you can park below the Jilemnická mountain lodge), or take the chairlift up Medvědín and reach Horní Mísečky on foot along the yellow hiking route and Masaryk road. Further on from Horní Mísečky (from the Jilemnická mountain lodge) – by bus to Vrbatova bouda and Zlaté návrší – then past the Memorial to Hanč and Vrbata to the Ambrožova viewpoint and Pančava waterfall – to Labská bouda and along the green hiking route to the Source of the Elbe.
Route 3)
From the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn – follow the blue hiking route to the chairlift up Medvědín – take the chairlift up Medvědín – then follow the yellow hiking route – via Sviňské louže – to the Šmídova viewpoint – continue along the red hiking route to Vrbatova bouda and Zlaté návrší – then follow the blue markers from which after 200 metres turn to the yellow hiking route – Rozcestí u čtyř pánů – Source of the Elbe.
Route 4)
From the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn follow the blue hiking route to Restaurant Myslivna – then follow the blue “Be Fit” route through Labský důl via the Elbe waterfall (34 m) to Labská bouda – and then follow the green route to the Source of the Elbe.
Špindlerův Mlýn – Sněžné jámy
Route 1)
From Špindlerův Mlýn by bus to Špindlerova bouda – along the red hiking route, called the Route of Czech and Polish Friendship, via Petrova bouda – Dívčí and Mužské kameny – Kaman memorial – Memorial to O. Rys – Sněžné jámy – back to Špindlerův Mlýn along the yellow hiking route (Koňská cesta) – to the signpost above the lookout of the Elbe waterfall – further along the green hiking route to Martinova Bouda – on to Brádlerovy Boudy (formerly Fučíkovy Boudy) – Medvědí Bouda – Dívčí Lávky – following the blue hiking markers around the lower station of the Medvědín chairlift back to Špindlerův Mlýn
Špindlerův Mlýn – Výrovka – Luční bouda
Route 1)
From the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn – square – along the green hiking route to Hotel Praha – Hotel Barbora – St. Peter Church – to the primary school – to the right towards Svatý Petr valley – Hotel Olympie – Zdař Bůh (small chapel) – Hotel Esprit – keep following the green hiking route through Dlouhý důl to mountain hut Výrovka – continue along the red hiking route to the memorial to victims of the mountains – Renner’s cross – Luční bouda – back to the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn along the red hiking route, called Stará Bucharova cesta, via Kozí hřbety into Svatý Petr valley – below Hotel Horal keep to the red route towards the primary school – St. Peter Church – Hotel Barbora – Hotel Praha – centre of Špindlerův Mlýn
Route 2)
From the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn, from the white bridge along the blue hiking route to the lower station of the Medvědín chairlift – KRNAP log cabin – Restaurant Myslivna – Dívčí lávky – along Bílé Labe to U Bílého Labe lodge – further along the blue route called Weberova cesta, through the valley of Bílé Labe to Luční bouda – continue along the red route – Renner’s cross – Memorial to victims of the mountains – Mountain hut Výrovka – further green hiking route – through Dlouhý důl into the Svatý Petr valley – Hotel Esprit – Hotel Olympie – through the forest above the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn below Hotel Horal – primary school – St. Peters Church – Hotel Barbora – Hotel Praha – centre of Špindlerův Mlýn

From Špindlerův Mlýn by bus to Vrchlabí/Herlíkovice – by chairlift up to Přední Žalý – along a forest path to the Žalý lookout tower – red hiking route towards Špindlerův Mlýn – Rovinka – along the green hiking route to Třídomí – údolí Labská – Krakonoš Guesthouse – Labská vyhlídka – centre of Špindlerův Mlýn
Route 2)
